Treatments for Rosacea

Non prescription or over the counter treatments for rosacea have sky rocketed over the past ten years. In 1999 when I began following what non prescription treatments were used there were only a handful back then. Now there are literally HUNDREDS of over the counter treatments for what is called 'redness reduction,' 'anti-redness,' or other such descriptions or simply using the word 'rosacea' as what the product is targeted to treat. According to an April 2008 article in the New York Times, "Sales of anti-redness facial care products grew by 35 percent from 2002 to 2007, an increase of $300 million, according to Kline’s 2007 global cosmetics and toiletries report. That figure, Ms. Wang said, doesn’t include products designed for sensitive skin or uneven complexions, which also purport to quell rosacea."
